On this debut The Hatch, Lenya pays tribute to seclusion. Her comforting alt folk songs herefore offer a balance between tension and safety, paranoia and consciousness, farewells and hope. Through dreamy murmuring and unexpected changes, while never disconnecting with the original base of the strong, melodic song. A cinematic orchestra with billowing guitars reinforce Lenya's emphasizing voice, by the direction of producer Jakob Sigmond (guitarist Blaudzun).

Lenya is the pseudonym of Rotterdam (NL) based singer/musician Julia Reinhold. She formerly took part of several indiefolk-, pop- and rockbands as a singer, backing vocalist, pianist and accordionist. 

​

Lenya performs live amidst a mesmering band on electric guitar, accordion, violin and symbiotic vocal harmonies.

The Hatch got released in March 2017 on LP, CD, internet and songbook.
